Dec 15, 2010 · There were NO prior symptoms of any kind. I've replaced the Crank sensor because no spark was detected, and the fuel pump at the well intentioned advice of a coworker. But before I start chasing the Cam sensor, coil pack, and ECM/PCM/Computer, I was wondering if anyone had some advice on how to test these components prior to throwing money at them.

2002 Chevy 2500HD purchased 1 week ago. 40k miles. 6.6l No history. Has been running fine. Filled tank today, was 3/4 full. Drove home 5 miles. came out several hours later, engine cranks normally but won't fire. Held throttle down and it started. Had slight surging. Very slight.
